In June 2025, the NTUST College of Management EMBA program conducted an overseas study program in the Netherlands and Germany, led by Dean Yu-Chung Tsao and Executive Director Chih-Hao Lu. The program brought participants directly into Europe’s innovation hubs through corporate visits, academic exchange, and cultural exploration.

Innovation and High-Tech Industry Insights

The Netherlands segment focused on advanced technology and innovation-driven industries. Participants visited the Brabant Development Agency (BOM), NTS Group, Supermicro Netherlands, and NXP Semiconductors, gaining first-hand insight into the European high-tech value chain. Observations centered on how AI applications, smart manufacturing, and ESG strategies are integrated into corporate operations, offering valuable perspectives for global business development.

Strengthening International Academia–Industry Collaboration

In Germany, the delegation visited NTUST’s partner institution, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (HHN). Participants toured AI laboratories and autonomous driving simulation facilities, learning how Germany’s applied universities collaborate closely with Mittelstand enterprises through long-term partnerships. The exchange deepened understanding of Germany’s vocational education model and innovation ecosystem.

Cultural Context and Industrial Heritage

The program also incorporated cultural visits, including the Rijksmuseum, Giethoorn, the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz Museums, and historic cities such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Würzburg. Through art, architecture, and industrial heritage, participants experienced how European societies integrate history, design, and sustainability into their economic and cultural development.

Through this Netherlands–Germany overseas program, NTUST EMBA continues to expand global perspectives and experiential learning, enabling executives to engage directly with international innovation environments and bringing global insight into high-level management education.
